The service
- SciText is an AI-assisted scholarly writing platform. It helps you draft, structure, and export academic documents. AI-generated content is a starting point: you are responsible for reviewing it for accuracy before any academic or professional use.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or have consent from a parent or guardian, to use the service.
Acceptable use
- You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access other users’ accounts or data, interfere with the platform, or use generated content to deceive (including submitting AI-generated work as your own where your institution prohibits it).
- You retain rights to the content you create with the service, subject to the rights of third-party sources and AI providers involved in generation.
Credits and subscriptions
- Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance. Credits are consumed when documents are generated, based on the length and complexity of the work. Unused credits do not roll over unless stated on your plan.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled case by case.
Availability and changes
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update features, pricing, or these terms; material changes will be communicated, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Limitation of liability
- The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
